MBBS Programme
Annual intake of students for the MBBS course is 100 and is recognised by Medical Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
The duration of the course is 4 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship . As per the new regulations of Medical Council of India (MCI) the MBBS course has been divided into 3 phases as per the details.

1 1/2 Years | 3 terms | During this period the students also learn the basics clinical subjects and Community medicine. The clinical training starts in this phase. After successful completion of all the subjects of Phase II examination of university, the students become eligible to enter the clinical phase-III (Part 1). No carryover of subjects is permissible |

| Phase III – Clinical part-II |

| ADDITIONAL TRAINING : Candidates will note that the regulations of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences also prescribe the following:
A language course in Kannada is conducted compulsorily for all new entrants. Courses are conducted by the college on Human Resources, including Medical Ethics, Rural Orientation Programme, Indian Constitution, Basics of Computers and Behavioural Sciences. Attendance for these is compulsory. Rules of the University require students to join the NCC or NSS. |
