13 people, including 7 children, were killed in a horrific accident Wednesday morning local time in the eastern US city of Philadelphia. All of them died due to the fire that broke out in the three-storey house.
Craig Murphy, deputy commissioner of the Philadelphia Fire Department, said the death toll could rise as work continues to evacuate the wounded from inside the building even as the fire is extinguished. Apart from the dead, two others have been sent to the hospital in critical condition.
Several fire trucks are seen standing on the spot even after the fire is extinguished, whose firemen are searching for survivors in the burnt building.
