Annual intake of students for the MBBS course is 100 and is recognised by Medical Council of India, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
The duration of the course is 4 years of academic study and 1 year of compulsory internship . As per the new regulations of Medical Council of India (MCI) the MBBS course has been divided into 3 phases as per the details

During this period the students also learn the basics clinical subjects and Community medicine. The clinical training starts in this phase. After successful completion of all the subjects of Phase II examination of university, the students become eligible to enter the clinical phase-III (Part 1). No carryover of subjects is permissible |
Phase III – Clinical Part I |
Community Medicine, Ophthalmology ENT | 1 Year | 2 terms |
After successful completion of all the subjects of Phase III (Part 1)examination of university, the students become eligible to enter the clinical phase. No carryover of subjects is permissible |
Phase III – Clinical part-II |
Medicine, Paediatrics,Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology. | 1 Year | 2 terms | After successful completion of all the subjects of Phase III (Part 2)examination of university, the students become eligible for compulsory internship during which phase the students learn to diagnose and treat the diseased independently |
