In the cricket tournament organised in Feb 2010 for doctors by the Apollo Hospitals Group, Bangalore. Our faculty cricket team reached the pre quarter finals before narrowly bowing out to eventual champions, St.John's "A" team
Our college Football team won all their matches played in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences tournament of 2009 and reached the finals of the Inter zonal football tournament wherein 5 of our students were chosen to represent the university.
Our College Volleyball team also won all of their matches and qualified for the inter zonal tournament in 2008
The ladies throw ball tournament of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences 2009 was conducted in our college campus.
Our college cultural team is very active and has participated in many cultural fests conducted by the various medical colleges and has many laurels for their innovative skits programme

MCI Recognition status Under Construction Ragging "Measures undertaken to curb the menace of ragging in terms of prevention and prohibition of ragging in medical colleges /institution regulations 2009" 1. In accordance with the MCI anti ragging Act of 2009 our Institution has constituted an anti ragging committee which includes senior faculty members and wardens of respective hostels along with the student representatives from different semesters, and freshers. 2.The students include both hostelites and day scholars which ensures that ragging is abolished both in the hostel and in and out side the campus. 3.There are staff and student anti ragging squads who ensure that no incidence of ragging rears its ugly head anywhere in and outside the campusSecurity guards manning the college are strictly instructed to report any incidence of intimidator behaviour by senior students towards juniors. 4.Freshers are advised on whom to report in case of ragging or ragging like behaviour by any one during the orientation day programme. 5.Leaflets and brochure regarding punishment for ragging are printed and distributed freely on campus. Posters mentioning the corporal punishment for ragging have been prominently displayed in various notice boards and on strategic locations all over the campus and surrounding areas. 6.All the seniors are forewarned about the menace of performing ragging and the punishment it entails, prior to the arrival of new batch every year. 7.There is a student counselor in the dept of Psychiatry who counsels students about ragging and related issues. Any incident of ragging that occurred since inception1. No incident of ragging from a very long time in our institution has occurred due to (1) stringent implementation of anti ragging rules.
